Drumheller is the most beautiful place to live in Alberta, but we may be biased.  Once under sea, the valley was formed as the Ice Age glaciers slowly melted and retreated, carving out the unique landscape of which we call home.

Visitors often comment on how exciting the first trip down the hill is.  You are enjoying the views of farmland and then after a few kilometers of decent, the valley's signature hills, rippled with lines of coal and shale, present themselves.

The Red Deer River flows through the middle of our vibrant town and there is a recreational path that parallels the river on either side for residents and visitors alike to use for walking or biking on.  Facilities like our full service hospital and doctors clinic, several dental offices, physiotherapists, chiropractors, optometrists and other specialty professionals all have offices to serve the residents.  Our newly opened Badlands Community Facility is a true hub of the community- housing a field house, banquet and meeting halls, library, work out equipment and clay studio.  The Aquaplex offers a place to swim both inside and outdoors.  Whether you play hockey, curling, soccer, baseball or tennis, we have the facilities for you.

There are several schools, numerous churches and community halls and an abundance of programs for all ages.

As far as housing goes, there are several areas to choose from scattered throughout the Valley.  Gary and Kim would be pleased to show you around introduce you to Drumheller's newest development, Hillsview Estates, Phase II.
